AI-powered Manufacturing System Architect

I’ve spent years at the intersection of manufacturing systems and software — designing MES platforms, integrating production lines, and watching the industry struggle to bridge the gap between the factory floor and modern AI.

Today I’m building that bridge myself. I design AI-Native manufacturing systems where LLM agents don’t just automate tasks — they understand processes, reason about constraints, and continuously improve from operational data.

This site is where I document the journey: the ideas, the systems, the failures, and what I’m learning. Everything here will eventually become a book.

Philosophy

AI-Native, not AI-added. Most “AI in manufacturing” projects bolt machine learning onto existing systems. I believe the transformative shift happens when you redesign systems from scratch with AI as a first-class citizen — not a feature added later.

Context is everything. A PLC follows instructions. An AI agent understands why those instructions exist. That distinction matters enormously when something unexpected happens on the production line at 2am.

Build in public, learn in public. The manufacturing industry is slow to share knowledge. I want to change that by documenting everything — including the mistakes.

I’m always open to conversations about AI-Native manufacturing, MES architecture, or collaborating on projects.
